  On a visit to Binghamton and first time to Consol's in many years.  If this restaurant was in Washington, DC where I live, it would be one of the very best authentic Italian restaurants there.  Nothing fancy here.....just unbelievable delicious Italian food.  Lasagne and Veal was excellent.  Only complaint was that they were all out of the chocolate cake which from what I understand is from a recipe my Italian grandmother gave to the owner many, many years ago (which by the way we still have the recipe for).  Love Consol's....thank you!

  Literally writing this as we are waiting for food at a different restaurant. We tried getting food at consols, but it just didn't work out.
  
  First, the hostess was pretty rude in letting us know that we had to wait for our full party to arrive prior to be being seated. When we said we are waiting on one more to arrive, she said "well, continue to wait then"
  
  We almost left at that point, but decided to give them another shot. After being seated.. we waited 20 minutes, with no one stopping by to take even a drink order. We tried to get the attention of a waitress, but everyone was seemingly trying to avoid eye contact.
  
  After 20 minutes, we decided to leave.
  
  I couldn't even find a person to let them know we were leaving due to lack of service. Hence this review.
  
  We've had a few decent experiences a while ago, but the last time we were here, the service was pretty lacking. After this time, we will probably not be back again. Especially given the other good Italian options in the area.

  I love their homemade spaghetti with meatballs. Last time I ate there it was mushy. Must have been an off night. Their pizza and ravioli are good too.

  Great food and friendly staff.. We were seated fast and once we ordered the food arrived hot and fresh. Pizza is great and the Tuesday $5 pie night is awesome. A little crowded with about a 20 minute wait time but trust me it's well worth the wait.

  On 7/11/18, I had dinner here with a friend.  We split the bill and each used credit cards to pay.  My friend was charged correctly while I was charged the original full price of the check.  I called and spoke with a manager within 7 days who said he found the error, was very sorry and would refund my money by mail and send a gift certificate for any inconvenience.  It is now over 3 weeks later and have yet to receive my refund.  Additionally, messages left on their voicemail over the last few days have not been returned to me.  Horrible customer service!
